🗳️ Parliamentary elections 1960
1960-07-31
First elections of the new Republic. Greek (35) and Turkish Cypriot (15) seats were elected separately under plurality bloc voting; the Patriotic Front and AKEL had pre-agreed the split of the Greek-Cypriot seats. Vote counts exceed the electorate because each voter cast multiple votes.
